The Barbara & Tobe Karrh Community Arts Center will transform the 100 block of North Green Street into an arts, culture, and innovation district. It will:
- Play a vital role in education, through partnerships with schools, and through offering supplemental educational programs outside of school.
- Drive tourism
- Provide programming that will help cultivate the next generation of entrepreneurs, leaders, and creative problem solvers.
- Engage citizens
Georgia’s creative economy attracts millions of tourists each year and adds significantly to the quality of life and economic vitality of every community. Our mission: The Emanuel Coalition for Cultural and Economic Development will work to develop Swainsboro and Emanuel County’s creative economy through defining a local strategy for engaging artists, entrepreneurs, and the creative community.
